Regardless of the decision by the Gov. of Texas to lift the mask mandate, COVID-19 Safety Measures remain in place at Lotus Gynecology, Alchemy Wellness, and Central Texas Urogynecology. Masks are still required and we will continue to take all necessary steps to protect your health as well as that of our staffs and families.

diVa Laser Vaginal Therapy

diVa laser vaginal therapy is the world’s first and only revolutionary Hybrid Fractional Laser (HFL) for the treatment of vaginal tissue.

What is diVa laser vaginal therapy?

diVa laser vaginal therapy is the world’s first and only revolutionary Hybrid Fractional Laser (HFL) for the treatment of vaginal tissue. Major life events like childbirth and menopause can cause stress to the vagina, and adverse changes in vaginal health. Further, aging may lead to pelvic floor disorders, which are very important to address for quality of life. Painful sex, as well as menopause symptoms such as dryness, thinning, and inflammation of the vaginal walls, are often solved with diVa

Vaginal therapy helps give women control over their bodies again, empowering them to live fully. With diVa, you can feel more confident returning to the same level of athletic and intimate activity.

How does diVa work?

Utilizing HALO™ dual fractionated laser technology, diVa delivers both ablative and non-ablative wavelengths to the same microscopic treatment zone, allowing for highly customizable procedures. The first laser deeply resurfaces the layers of the vaginal wall, facilitating replacement with brand new, healthy tissue, while the second laser heats the layers of the tissue, which further triggers an inflammatory response to promote vigorous cellular activity in the skin.

Treatments can be customized for premenopausal women who need a different treatment than post-menopausal women. Additionally, diVa’s dual-wavelength hybrid technology and tunability allows us to customize your treatments based on your age, symptoms, and desired results.

What can I expect during treatments?

diVa’s design allows for comfortable and generally quick & easy treatments. It usually only takes three minutes, and many of our patients report that the procedure does not hurt.

How many treatments are needed?

Three treatments are suggested, spaced 30 days apart, with one annual treatment to maintain results. Patients usually need 2-3 treatments spaced about a month apart.

What can I expect in terms of downtime?

Generally, women can return to their normal activities immediately, though they should avoid intercourse for up to 48 hours. Those with active lifestyles will benefit from this procedure.
